Landslide to the Iranian axis: large forces of the Syrian rebel organizations advanced this evening (Friday) deep into the territory of the city of Aleppo, the second largest city in Syria and one of the most important battlefields of the civil war until it was captured by regime forces in 2017

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Netanyahu convened a telephone security discussion this evening on the consequences and meanings of the occupation of territories in the country by the rebels and the destabilization of the Assad regime, this in addition to reports according to which there are facilities with unconventional weapons in the combat zone.

Earlier, rebel forces photographed themselves in the area of Basel Square, named after the dictator Bashar al-Assad's brother, in the western part of the city, taking down the regime's flag from a monument in the square. In addition, they reported that they managed to take control of the military hospital in the Al Andalus neighborhood in the west of the city. They also managed to advance along the city's ring road towards the east, cutting off additional access roads into the city's territory. They are also close to cutting off the southern road leading out of Malav, which will increase the city's isolation from Damascus and create regime strongholds and make it difficult for regime reinforcements to flow into the city. Towards the evening hours, the rebels claimed to have entered the main mosque in the center of the city.

The enemies of the enemy: these are the rebels who landed a blow on the Iranian axis in Syria

Towards night, the rebel forces arrived at the entrance to Aleppo's government building, and also managed to take control of the city's historic citadel, without a fight.

In addition, the rebels also recorded impressive achievements in the sector of Idlib province, which is located southwest of the city of Aleppo, where rebel forces managed to capture the key city of Sarkiv, a stronghold of the regime that used it as a base for ground attacks on the rebels. The Syrian army announced that it had withdrawn from the territory of the city and the rebels published pictures of themselves inside the center of the built-up area.

Along with the conquest of the territories, the element of surprise of the rebel attack helped them capture many weapons, including armored vehicles, tanks, artillery and other combat equipment of various types. In one of the Syrian army bases, rebels recorded themselves celebrating near a large stockpile of advanced Russian-made shoulder-fired missiles.

The attack was initiated by several rebel organizations, some more moderate and others with clear ties to terrorist organizations. Almost all the organizations participating in the attack are supported in one way or another by Turkey, which apparently was aware of the battle plan and even actively assisted the move. In Turkey, they called the operation "operation to deter aggression" and claimed that its goal was to return to the fighting lines of 2019, but so far the rebels have bypassed these lines and entered the city of Aleppo itself.

This is an unimaginable achievement for the rebels and a severe blow not only to the Syrian regime but also to its allies, Russia and Iran. Photos and videos that emerged from the battlefield showed significant damage to the Iranian militiamen stationed near the frontline. The damage caused to Iranian interests is highlighted by the assassination of the Iranian general Kiumarat Pourhashmi, a senior Iranian officer with the rank of brigadier-general (equivalent to the rank of brigadier general in the IDF), who is involved in Syria. According to the reports, the Iranian officer was killed by the rebels, along with other senior military officers who took part in the meeting he attended near the front.
